ABOUT MOLLY

Molly has had a fascination with holistic healing throughout her life. She is someone who can observe pain and dysfunction and put her whole care into it, stop what she's doing and talk with you about what she can do about it. She is a person who contemplates, but also a person who acts. She lives through her compassion and care and can stand with you wherever you are and help to make that place better. Molly encourages those around her to be exactly who they are and heal from right where they stand, rather than placing benchmarks or hurdles for those around her.

Originally from rural eastern Nebraska, Molly grew up connecting to nature through making sand and lilac pies, harvesting weeds, and contemplating the earth’s rotation with her feet in the dirt and her eyes to the sky. Early in Molly’s life, when “traditional” Western medicine did not provide a full spectrum healing solution for her family, she followed the call of her instinct and connection to the Earth and embarked on her lifelong journey using naturopathy, homeopathy and energetic healing. In her mid-20’s, she committed herself to the path of natural medicine, diet, and spiritual practice to support her health, and the health of her loved ones. Molly discovered Reiki shortly thereafter as a client of healer, teacher, and author Eileen O’Donnell in Dallas TX. During this time, Eileen’s profound capacity to understand the human ego and soul opened a portal to Molly’s personal healing journey and forever shaped her approach to self-love, healing, and humanity. In the future this would help to shape Molly’s professional holistic healing practice.

Molly’s journey of motherhood strengthened her commitment to holistic health through growing and preparing her young daughter’s baby food, using natural remedies whenever possible and making her baby (and later) toddler clothing. When her daughter entered kindergarten, Molly’s love of her community led her to a position in the Wellness department of our local food co-op, The Merc. There, Molly used her easy ability of listening and connecting with others to serve and educate clientele about plant medicine, diet, and healing in general. In this position, she learned everything she could from the many trainings held by vendors and purveyors of natural medicine carried by The Merc, and she used this education as a stepping off point for making her own plant medicine for friends and family and eventually branching out into her own independent studies.

Molly has spent the last five years studying Reiki (certified Reiki Master) and other holistic healing modalities such as working with the Human Energy Field, chelation therapy and CCT with healer and teacher Kathy Forest, as well as facets of Shamanism (Foundation for Shamanic Studies). This led her to take the plunge into establishing her own practice as a certified Reiki instructor in beautiful Downtown Lawrence, KS. In addition to offering traditional Reiki healing, she offers additional holistic healing options such as meditation, pranayama/breath work, dreamwork, classes and collaborations with fellow holistic practitioners as well as presenting at regional and international retreats. She is currently pursuing a two-year intensive to become a certified herbalist through North Star Herbal Studies, along with continuing education in meditation, breath work and holistic nutrition.

In her healing practice, Molly enjoys providing the space and opportunity for her clients to connect with and remember their higher/divine self through the breath and being present with and for themselves during their healing session. She believes that this connection is a tool they can then take with them to use whenever needed. One of her goals with her practice is to support and empower the client into alignment toward healing by transforming their energy and their consciousness and learning to live from a place that is inherently more whole, joyful and fulfilling. She believes - to quote her favorite poet, Rumi: “The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are.”

Throughout her journey Molly says an important lesson in her path of healing has been learning how to listen: “Sometimes, we simply need to be seen and heard. I enjoy helping others and giving them a sense of helping themselves— teaching empowerment on some level. The ultimate goal is self-empowerment and self-love. I am just a tool to that purpose”.

In her personal time Molly loves spending time with her teenage daughter and her husband, connecting with Mother Nature, practicing yoga and pilates, playing the piano and music in general, printmaking, making plant medicines and building her apothecary, the never-ending journey of learning and exploring (i.e. always remain curious!) and spending time with dear friends and family.

Molly is so grateful to be practicing what she loves to do as her profession.
